Fall in Roswell

A season of color, festivals and fun.

There's something magical about the change of seasons, and fall in Roswell is no different. Cool breezes sweep through town, leaves turn (hopefully) a beautiful shade of gold, orange and red. Restaurant patios glow under street lamps and string lights creating a cozy atmosphere - that's the great thing about Georgia weather, our patio season lasts long into fall.

Festive Fall Traditions

Throughout October, the city transforms into a whimsical, photo-worthy destination with Boo Y’all Scarecrows—cleverly decorated displays along Canton Street, each with its own personality and charm. Check out Sip & Stroll at Boo Y'all as a way to enjoy the shops and restaurants along Canton Street while voting for your favorite scarecrows. Families line the streets for the beloved Roswell Youth Day Celebration and Parade, a decades-old tradition that captures the spirit of community with marching bands, floats, and plenty of family fun. The celebration continues at Roswell City Hall Grounds after the parade with Touch-a-Truck, Fall Farm Days, and an Art Block. At the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the 40th Annual Halloween Hikes invite all ages to walk the trails, meet friendly forest creatures, and experience the holiday in a not-so-spooky way. In addition to the traditional hike, you can embark on an immersive scavenger hunt - The Haunted Quest. Raise a glass at Gate City Brewing to celebrate Oktoberfest with food, drinks and lively entertainment.

Culture & Cuisine

Wine lovers flock to the Grandiose Grape Wine Festival at The Mill Kitchen & Bar. This all-inclusive afternoon blends their signature cuisine with fine wines hand-selected by sommeliers. In late September, the Atlanta India Festival celebrates the culture, cuisine, and traditions of India through music, dance, food and art. The toe-tapping sounds and traditions of IrishFest Atlanta returns in November, filling Roswell with Celtic culture through concerts, workshops, and dancing.
