Things to Do in Roswell

Boardwalk at the Chattahoochee Nature Center

Celebrating 50 years in 2026, the Chattahoochee Nature Center is a cornerstone of Roswell. Explore 127 acres of protected and activated nature, where fun and education are brought outdoors. The grounds are filled with native-to-Georgia plants, and birds of prey aviaries can be seen on the Wildlife Walk, including two bald eagles. While exploring the grounds, take the bridge over Willeo Road and enjoy a stroll on the boardwalk. You’ll get a great view of the Chattahoochee River while also observing the local river-focused ecosystem.

This summer get up close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies at the 12th annual Butterfly Encounter from June 8 - August 28.

Mimms Museum of Technology and Art

Mimms Museum of Technology and Art educates visitors on the past and future of computing. A multi-generational trip here will spark conversations amongst your group as they discover and talk about technology that has been carefully preserved. Exhibits in the museum include a STEAM timeline of computer history, a Tribute to Apollo with an early full-scale replica of the lunar module, an Apollo Guidance Computer and DSKY, and one of the world’s largest collections of Cray supercomputers.

Opening April 1, The Mimms will unveil iNSPIRE: 50 Years of Innovation from Apple to the public. Over 2,000 original artifacts, prototypes and unique documents from Apple's extraordinary journey will be on display with interactive exhibits and creative installations.

Roswell Riverwalk Boardwalk

Unwind along the Chattahoochee River. Roswell is home to nine miles of the river and it can be explored by water or by foot. Look to local outfitter, Nantahala Outdoor Center, for all your water gear rental needs for the smoothest trip down the river. The section of river that runs through Roswell is wide and smooth, making for a relaxing river day. Stroll along the Roswell Riverwalk with a mix of paved path and boardwalk sections. Close to the river, you'll find the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area: Vickery Creek unit that has approximately five miles of hiking trails that wind through the forest.
