Virtual Run: Water Drop Dash 5K Race and Water Festival
This event has expired and is here for your information.
Presented by the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District
***Update In order to carry on the tradition and continue to educate the community about the importance of water conservation, this year’s event will be a virtual run! We encourage all registered runners (both 5K and 1-mile fun run) to pick a course of their choosing in their community, run sometime during the day on March 21, and submit their times to us through the www.waterdropdash.com (instructions coming later). We will compile and share the results as well as mail out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals to winners in each of our 13 age groups – both male and female. This will be done on the honor system. All registered runners as of Sunday, March 15 at midnight will receive an 8th Annual Water Drop Dash t-shirt.
The Water Drop Dash 5K is a PEACHTREE QUALIFIER, FAST and FLAT course along the Chattahoochee River! Registration is limited – please register early through ACTIVE.COM to ensure your spot! The 8th annual Water Drop Dash 5K encourages metro Atlanta residents to check their plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems during the annual EPA WaterSense Fix A Leak Week March 16-22, 2020. The post-race Water Festival will be full of giveaways, activities and face painting from our local water utilities and sponsors! Official commemorative t-shirts will be distributed to all 5K and Kid’s Fun Run finishers at the post-race Water Festival after crossing the finish line and presenting your race number. #WaterDropDash
