Trunk-and-Treat

Come get in the fall spirit with our trunk-or-treat, chili cook-off, and carnival games!

Cross of Life Lutheran Church is hosting its annual Trunk-and-Treat. We will have fun, food, and games for the whole family, games, chili cook-off, and a bounce house. Trunk-or-Treat Families, businesses, and nonprofits are invited to participate as stops in our trunk-or-treat. It is a great way to show off your creativity as well as to advertise for your business or agency. Ribbons will be given out for the best cars. Rules for Participating No scary trunk displays or costumes will be allowed All car trunks and treats will be inspected before the event begins An adult must be with the vehicle throughout the event Teams are welcome! Chili Cook-Off Help us prepare for the cold weather by providing your recipe for judging. Judging will be based on best all around. We respect secret family recipes, but a list of ingredients is required to be mindful of people's allergies. Chili is to come ready, not be made on-site. Rules Entering the contest is free, but a minimum of 1 gallon of chili must be cooked to share and judge. Teams are welcome! Sign-ups must be completed by Friday, October 24th. Chili must be prepared in a sanitary manner and must be kept at a minimum of 140 degrees and covered with a lid when not serving. Chili must come ready to eat. All ingredients must be edible and readily purchased at a major grocery store, and contestants must provide a list of ingredients on display at the table. Contestants should be willing/able to sample his/her own chili. Each contestant will be assigned a contestant number for anonymous judging. Contestants must agree to the terms that the public will be consuming the chili at the event. Chili should be made from scratch.
