Tech Tales - Storytime for Young Explorers

Tech Tales is the Computer Museum of America's weekly summer story reading series geared for children 12 and under. Each week they present a different story with a corresponding activity about a STEM/STEAM based topic or person.

In honor of International Women in Engineering Day, this week’s Tech Tales book is Secret Engineer: How Emily Roebling Built the Brooklyn Bridge by Rachel Dougherty. This inspiring story follows Emily Roebling as she takes charge of the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge after her husband falls ill during the project, defying gender stereotypes to lead the project on his behalf. Through Emily’s story, young readers will learn the importance of perseverance and determination in achieving their dreams. After the reading, participants will get to engage in their own engineering project.

Tech Tales is every Saturday at 2 PM during June and July.
