The Southern Shorts Awards Film Festival founded by filmmaker Stephen P. Sherwood in 2016 with the mission of recognizing those filmmakers whose short films demonstrate their ability to make well crafted motion pictures.
The Festival features 29 short films from around the world covering a wide range of genres: South Korean musical, French fantasy western, Pixar style animation, Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Science Fiction/ Fantasy, Mystery, AI and student films.
Schedule--
11am--Screening of 12 previous Best Picture winners.
2:15pm--Founder's Showcase of 3 films by Festival Creator and director Stephen P. Sherwood.
4:00pm--Screening of all 14 films from the Summer 2025 season.
8:45pm--Formal Oscars-style Awards Presentation
