Based on Meredith Willson's six-time-Tony-Award-winning musical comedy, The Music Man Jr and The Music Man KIDS features some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth and good old-fashioned romance. This is family entertainment at its best — a bold, brassy show that will have the whole town atwitter!
Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.

Time: 5:30-7:30 pm Only attend 1 night, must stay the entire time
Where: Roswell Area Park, Bill Johnson Community Activity Building, check-in located in lobby.
Mainstage Age requirements: 6th - 12th grades
Mainstage Please prepare:
• Monologue, memorized and performed, no longer than 1 minute
• Broadway song, memorized, no longer than 1 minute
• Accompanist provided: bring sheet music in your proper key.
• A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Please use accompaniment track in the correct key played from your phone/tablet.
• Dress comfortably for movement based audition, dance shoes or experience NOT required
Audition Fee: $25 cash (exact change please), check made out to RYT, Venmo accepted
Program Fee: $450, residents $675, non-residents
Rehearsals: Jan 18 2023-April 13, 2023 Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays at the Physical Activity Center, Roswell Area Park (no rehearsals during Fulton Co. Spring Break April 3-7)
Tech Week (mandatory): April 17-20, 2023
Performances: Friday, April 21, 2023 7:00 pm Saturday, April 22, 2023 2:00 & 7:00 pm
Kidz Age requirements: 3rd - 5th grades
Kidz Please prepare:
• Broadway or Disney song, memorized, no longer than 1 minute
• A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Please use accompaniment track in the correct key played from your phone/tablet.
• Dress comfortably for movement based audition, dance shoes or experience NOT required
Audition Fee: $10 cash (exact change please), check made out to RYT, Venmo accepted
Program Fee: $360, residents $540, non-residents
Rehearsals: Jan 31, 2023-April 28, 2023 Tuesdays & Fridays 4:45-6:30 at the Physical Activity Center, Roswell Area Park (no rehearsals during Fulton Co. Spring Break April 3-7)
