Roswell Reads Presents Jane Harper, Australia's 'Outback Noir' Queen

Roswell Reads will feature Jane Harper, the New York Times critically acclaimed and bestselling author of six novels, all set in rural Australia.

Jane Harper, the New York Times critically acclaimed and bestselling author of six novels, all set in rural Australia, will share Down Under details about her newest novel April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell. “Last One Out,” which releases April 14, takes place in a modern ghost town in New South Wales. The novel is already on Australia’s bestseller list and rights have been sold in 27 territories worldwide, with film rights optioned to Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea.

Two of Harper’s books - “The Dry” and “Force of Nature” - have already been adapted into films, while “The Survivors” is a six-part Netflix series. Her other novels are “The Lost Man” and “The Exiles.” Coming all the way from Melbourne, Australia, Harper will be in conversation with USA Today and internationally bestselling mystery and thriller author Kimberly Belle, whose latest novel, “The Expat Affair,” comes out June 3.
