Roswell Historical Society March Meeting
The Roswell Historical Society will host guest speaker, Andrew J. Bramlett to discuss the history of Kennesaw Mountain beyond the war.
We are excited to welcome Andrew Bramlett, a Kennesaw resident, historian, lecturer, and collector, as our featured guest this March. Kennesaw Mountain is best known as a civil war battlefield, but over the past 200 years, countless other notable, unusual, and fascinating events have taken place on and around its slopes. In "Kennesaw Mountain: Beyond the War", Andrew will explore these often forgotten stories - from Native American history to the Cold War, including planned statues, plane crashes, and even secret bunkers. Andrew is a member of the City of Kennesaw Historic Preservation Commission and the Archivist for the Save Acworth History Foundation. His passion for uncovering hidden history makes this a presentation you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a long time history enthusiast, or simply curious about our local heritage, you’ll find a welcoming space here. Bring a friend or neighbor, everyone is welcome!
