Roswell resident and acclaimed musician, vocalist, and bandleader Joe Gransden is partnering with City of Roswell Arts & Culture to bring exciting arrangements of jazz and the music of the big band era to the north metro communities. Join Joe and his quartet at Roswell Cultural Arts Center on June 4 at 4:00 p.m., with special guest jazz legend Kenny Banks Sr., as they present The Art of the Song, a celebration of the swingin’ music that has inspired generations and crossed over into many musical genres.
A New York native now living in Roswell, Joe Gransden has already performed worldwide and released 14 CDs under his own name. Renowned first for the hard bop approach of his trumpet, Gransden’s singing voice has been compared to that of Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra.
