History Kids Program: American Kitchens

Explore the fascinating world of American Kitchens during the mid-nineteenth century in this hands-on, family-friendly program. Learn about the tools and materials used in American kitchens, and try your hand at some of the chores of the past, like rolling dough and cutting cookies. Reflect on how these items and tasks compare to today’s modern kitchens and how American cooking and home life have evolved. This program is designed for children ages 6-11. Parking available at Bulloch Hall. While at Bulloch Hall, tour the historic house and walk around the beautiful grounds.
