Brother Fat was formed in honor of Count M’Butu, the Grammy-winning percussionist and conga specialist of The Derek Trucks Band. Originally created for his memorial show, the band continues to celebrate his legacy through exceptional, percussion-driven performances that cross genres of Funk, Blues, and Classic Rock.

🎸 Matt Williams (guitar/vocals), a mainstay of The Mosier Brothers and Pickled Holler
🎹 Ethan Johnson (keys), student of Johnny Knapp and member of Le Gato
🥁 Gaurav Molhatra (percussion/conga), a student of Count M’Butu and a regular in the southeastern music scene
