Atlanta Authors Presents Rona Simmons for a Veteran's Day Tribute

Rona Simmons, author of A Gathering of Men and Other Veterans of World War II, will share stories about veterans on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2 pm on the B side at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

The daughter of a WWII fighter pilot and wife of a US Navy pilot, Rona Simmons is proud to honor veterans and their histories through her books, The Other Veterans of World War II and A Gathering of Men. She gives a voice to all those who served -- men and women who served in all branches of the military and all theaters of war, sometimes miles from the front lines -- from commanding officers to airmen, to ground crews. A volunteer with The Stories Behind the Stars Initiative, Simmons has contributed 275 veterans' stories, including one story from all 50 states and one from each of Georgia's 80 counties.
