Adopt-A-Stream Chemical Workshop
Dive into the world of water quality! Join us at the Adopt-A-Stream Workshop on October 21st to learn how you can make a splash for our waterways!
The City of Roswell, City of Alpharetta, and Fulton County are teaming up for a fun, hands-on water testing workshop! Become a certified Georgia Adopt-A-Stream water monitoring volunteer and discover how you can make a difference in the health of our local waterways. This workshop will focus on Chemical Monitoring, where you’ll learn how to test important indicators of stream health, including water temperature, pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen levels. By becoming a certified volunteer, you’ll gain the skills to collect valuable water quality data that helps our community better understand, protect, and care for our streams and natural resources. At the end of the workshop, volunteers who successfully complete the written test will be certified to monitor certain water quality indicators and report their findings to the state. Come learn something new, connect with your community, and help make a splash for cleaner, healthier waterways—one water sample at a time!
