27th Annual Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Ceremony
Annual Memorial Day ceremony honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
This event is rain or shine. The program will include displays and music provided by the Roswell New Horizons Band, a military ceremony, the presentation of colors, Honor Guard, the singing of the national anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, a POW/MIA tribute, and the solemn laying of the wreath. Retired United States Army Lt. Colonel, Cary S. King from Atlanta is the guest speaker. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 24 years. He also served in the Infantry and Artillery in Vietnam commanding troops with the A Company, 2nd Battalion, 29th Infantry Division and finally as the Battery Commander of Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 7th Artillery. Highly decorated, Lt. Colonel King was nominated for the Georgia Veterans HOF in 2021, for Valor. At the conclusion of the program, a BBQ lunch featuring chicken and pork will be served on the premises. Tickets can be purchased on-site on the day of the ceremony.
