January
Roswell Restaurant Weeks - Roswell Restaurant Weeks aims to cultivate and promote the diverse culinary experiences the city has to offer. Enjoy prix fixe menu options at your favorite Roswell restaurants or discover a new place to dine. The event typically begins in January and ends in February.
Sleddy Yeti - Grab your warmest 80s attire for the annual Sleddy Yeti party at Gate City Brewing Company. Snow sledding, DJ and hot chocolate make this festive day fun for the whole family.
February
Roswell Roots Festival - A celebration of Roswell’s African American history and culture. Throughout the month, unique and fun events for all ages take place around the city. This event is one of the largest and most comprehensive celebrations in the state of Georgia.
March
Water Drop Dash 5k - This Peachtree Qualifying Race begins at the Chattahoochee Nature Center and runs along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
Roswell Beer Festival - Over 400 beers are available for sampling at this annual event. Located on the historic town square, this event only grows in what is available for sampling, not crowd size. Get your tickets early, as this event regularly sells out.
April
Roswell Moves! - This “open streets” event, transforms the pavement into an urban playground and one of Roswell’s most popular events. Bike, walk, twirl, scooter down Canton Street in historic downtown Roswell.
Roswell Music Festival - Come out for a one-day ticketed concert in downtown Roswell. The lineup changes each year, so check out who's performing this year.
May
Roswell Spring Arts and Crafts Festival - This art festival is for Artists by Artists. This event features approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, jewelers and more! There are also artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, plus gourmet food trucks with healthy alternatives and music and dance performances.
Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Ceremony - An event hosted by Roswell Rotary and the City of Roswell, this event pays tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.
June
Flying Colors Butterfly Festival - The Flying Colors Butterfly Festival will delight everyone as the Chattahoochee Nature Center celebrates all things pollinators! Take part in the Migration Game throughout the festival and learn about Monarch Migration. Don't miss the Butterfly Encounter during the summer that kicks off at the Butterfly Festival each year and goes through August.
Possum Trot 10k and 1 Mile Fun Run - The 10K is a FLAT course along the Chattahoochee River! Registration is limited to 1,500 participants so register early to ensure your spot. Before and after the run, enjoy food, music and great vendors at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's Ben Brady Lakeside Pavilion.
Summer Sippin' - Roswell's annual summer drink competition. Rate the drinks to vote for your favorite. June - August each summer.
Lavender Festival - This is an annual favorite on the grounds of Barrington Hall. The festival features over 60 arts and crafts booths, food trucks, and of course lavender.
July
4th of July Celebration - The skies light up over Roswell with fireworks at Roswell Area Park. There's live music, entertainment, and food trucks. Fireworks begin at sunset.
August
Area 13.1 Half Marathon and Terrestrial 10K/5K - An Out of this World Running Event. Grab your headlamp as these runs are night races and one of the most popular courses to run in Georgia. In fact it was voted 2024 BEST Half Marathon in GA and TOP 50 in the USA by HalfMarathons.net.
September
Annual Roswell Arts Festival - Each year, the Roswell Arts Festival is held on the third weekend in September on the grounds of City Hall in Roswell, Georgia. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Artists and local entertainment, children's activities, food trucks, and a healthy dose of small town charm.
Back to Your Roots Farm Fair - Celebrate one of the best harvesting seasons of the year at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Meet live farm animals, bring a picnic, and play in the dirt!
Harvest on the Hooch - The Chattahoochee Nature Center's annual outdoor food and craft beer festival. This event raises awareness for the nature center's Unity Garden which has supplied over 50 tons of fresh produce to the North Fulton Community Charities food pantry.
Atlanta India Festival - This festival celebrates the vibrant culture, cuisine, and traditions of India through a colorful extravaganza of music, dance, food, and art.
October
Frances McGahee Youth Day Celebration - Youth Day has been a long-standing tradition in Roswell that began in 1950 when a group of parents decided to sponsor a parade and a day of activities to honor the youth of the city. The day kicks off with a parade and continues with a celebration at Roswell City Hall, Smith Plantation and Roswell Cultural Arts Center with activities for the whole family.
Roswell Motoring Festival - Attendees will enjoy an array of exquisite, rarely seen cars, boats, bikes, and more with vendors both automotive and art-themed. Brought to you by The Atlanta Motoring Festival, which is dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of the automobile and benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Halloween Hikes - Embrace the spirit of the season with a hike around the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Wear your costumes, play games, participate in activities and enjoy the evening.
Quick Six Enduro Race - Riders come from near and far to test their skills on six individual stages on the trails at Big Creek Park.
Running of the Pumpkins - A race for the entire family supporting The Cottage School in Roswell. Costumes are encouraged. This 5k course is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
November
Grandiose Grape Wine Festival - The Grandiose Grape Wine Festival is a curated collection of 100+ wines to taste & explore with live entertainment and food pairings presented by Executive Chef Derek Dollar at The Mill Kitchen and Bar.
IrishFest Atlanta - Established in 2013 to promote the culture of Ireland through the country's traditional music, song, dance and language. This annual event brings a weekend of cultural performances, lectures and workshops in a festive environment.
Christkindl Market - A German-style Christmas Market on the grounds of Bulloch Hall. Explore holiday vendors, enjoy a biergarten with seasonal food and drink, and a children's train. This event begins in November and ends in December.
Running of the Turkeys - A Thanksgiving tradition. Run down Canton Street in downtown Roswell and support Friends of Roswell Police.
December
Enchanted Woodland Wonders - Create magical memories with family and get into the holiday spirit at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's most popular Family Fun Day, Enchanted Woodland Wonders! This family favorite is bound to delight with live reindeer, seasonal festivities, partner booths, crafts, lawn games, and more. This event kicks off their annual Enchanted Woodland Trail with fairy houses and gnome homes.
On-Going Monthly Events
Alive in Roswell - A free monthly festival held on the third Thursday each month, April - October. The festival is held along Canton Street and in the Roswell Antique and Interiors Lot. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, and vendors.
Music on the Hill - A free outdoor concert series at Roswell City Hall Lawn every second Friday each month May - September.
Riverside Sounds - (will return in 2027 due to Riverside Park and Riverside Road construction and improvements) The City's longest-running, free outdoor concert series held every fourth Saturday each month April - September at Riverside Park. This series brings critically acclaimed, nationally recognized, and up-and-coming original artists to the stage.
Roswell Farmers Market - A market rooted in connection, creativity and local food. Held weekly on Saturdays at Roswell City Hall, the market features a curated mix of farmers, makers, and local food and beverage businesses that reflect the heart of Roswell.
