Fabric Amulet Necklace Workshop with Emma Chammah

Free artist-led workshop to make an embroidered fiber art necklace.

Roswell’s quilting initiative offers a Makers Market workshop where Emma Chammah leads scapular-making to inspire intention and unity. During the Holiday Makers Market (10 AM - 5 PM), the City of Roswell, in collaboration with Dashboard, will host an interactive workshop inviting families and individuals of all ages to connect with themselves and one another through art, fostering presence and reflection in a fast-moving world. Artist Emma Chammah will lead two 1-hour scapular-making workshops, guiding participants in creating fabric amulet necklaces that hold written or drawn intentions for protection, healing, and manifestation, with each piece documented as part of the project. This workshop is one component of Roswell’s year-long America 250 initiative, celebrating the nation’s 250th year while honoring the city’s history as a mill town and textile center. Rooted in the theme One Nation, Many Stories, the program will teach residents the art of quilting through artist-led workshops, hands-on instruction, and pop-up events, culminating in quilt-inspired installations that symbolize unity across the community.
