History Kids: Folk Music with Craig Gleason

Children learn about the origins of American folk music in the context of a live performance.

Musician Craig Gleason introduces children to classic folk song as they sing along, dance, and play instruments. Children learn about folk music and its origins and also about its continued influence on modern music. Songs such as "This Land is Your Land," "John Henry," "City of New Orleans," and "500 Miles" are included in the program. This program is held at the Old Machine Shop at Vickery Creek, next to the covered bridge.
