Road Schooling in Roswell, Georgia

Take virtual schooling out on the road!

When virtual learning became the new normal, many families jumped on the train of road schooling. Road schooling is all about taking your virtual learning on the road since it isn’t required to physically have the kiddos in the classroom to learn. What road schooling brings is a chance to see new places and take one-of-a-kind field trips across the United States. We want to invite locals and visitors to try a week of road schooling throughout Roswell!

Start every day knocking out the regularly-assigned schoolwork. As you travel, you’ll need a spot with reliable Internet and space for everyone to get to work, including parents. Try one of our hotels with connecting rooms and suites, which give ample space while you knock out assignments and projects. Book your stay here.

Monday

Lace up your shoes and hit the hiking trails! Monday, you’ll start off on the right foot with a quick P.E. lesson. Roswell abounds with hiking trails for all levels throughout our award-winning park system. Don’t forget to take a break with a picnic lunch at any of our great restaurants.

Wednesday

Let’s bring back some culinary focus with fun at Chamberlains Chocolate Factory. Sign up for a chocolate-making class to sweeten up the experience of being in the kitchen. The true test will be to see if you can save your creations for after dinner!

Thursday

The Chattahoochee Nature Center is well-versed in being an incredible field trip location for the metro Atlanta area schools. Kids can learn about the importance of pollinators, water conservation, birds of prey, and so much more. Be sure to check their calendar for any additional activities they may have as you make your reservation to visit.

Friday

Close out your week at the Computer Museum of America, where you can take in artifacts that played a key role in progressing our technology to where it is today. You’ll be able to walk the moon in the Apollo 11 Exhibit, see the brand-new Enigma Exhibit, as well as have some fun in the vintage gaming section. CMOA has also created a Family Fun Field Trip experience that is perfect for road schooling! If you book your stay at Home2 Suites, you can get 2 free passes to the museum under their Back to the Future Package!

Although virtual learning has been an adjustment, what a special opportunity to share different sites and experiences as a family. For more ways to spend your time in Roswell, check out our suggested itineraries! Follow us on social media: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
