Newest Roswell CVB Hire- Kendall Young

Hi there! My name is Kendall Young and I just moved to the Roswell, Georgia area in April of this year.

I moved down here with my fiancé, Jordan, for his work, but I am happy to report that by being hired at the Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau, we are both doing work that we love.

I moved down here from a small town in Western Kentucky called Murray. It is the “Friendliest Small Town” and home to Murray State University, my Alma mater. While in Kentucky I worked for the Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau as their Director of Marketing and Communication. With that background, I came with some experience to be able to help the Roswell CVB grow in the social media space. That is why I was chosen as their Social Media Strategist.

I have loved getting to experience everything in my new home. Canton Street is full of life and tasty treats. I have many more places to mark off of my list, but I am looking forward to trying each one. The Chattahoochee River and the Chattahoochee Nature Center have been so fun to explore. Have you seen what they are working on for the zip line and rope course? Can’t wait to try it! Enjoying local brews at the breweries has expanded my taste for craft beer. I still need to complete my Brewery Tour so I can get the collectors glass. Finally, my favorite piece of Roswell…the Roswell Trolley! My fiancé and I have ridden the trolley every chance we can since we discovered it. Did you know it is completely free to ride on Friday and Saturday nights?! I better see you next time I’m riding.

The Future

Some of my big plans for the social media accounts for the Roswell CVB include pushing more of our marketing efforts online, and growing our platforms while increasing engagements. We also hope to produce more video footage of this sweet town. If you have any ideas as a local, or as someone who has recently traveled to Roswell that you think we should feature for future visitors, send them my way! I would love to hear ideas.

Please connect with us on social media to join in on the fun that I plan on bringing to the pages. If you see me out and about taking pictures and videos, I hope you come up and say hi!
