Roswell has holiday events lined up for the last month of the year. Read on for more details and head out to these fun events to create some great memories.

Family Fun Gatherings

Gingerbread House Challenge! - Roswell Visual Arts Center
December 4: 10 am - 1 pm

Gather your team and get ready to compete in the Gingerbread House Challenge! The the houses, frosting and candy are supplied and you come ready to creatively decorate and claim a title and a ribbon!

Holiday Avenue - Bulloch Avenue
December 4: 11 am - 7 pm

Holiday Avenue is a combination of a merry holiday market, kids activities, holiday cartoons on the big screen and a candlelight tour of Bulloch Hall.

Lighting of the Town Square - Historic Town Square
December 4: 5 pm

Celebrate the official start of the holiday season with Roswell's annual tree lighting at the Town Square. Stop by to hear choral performances by local high schools and a reading of "Night Before Christmas" by Roswell's Mayor Lori Henry. Standby for the arrival of Santa Clause at dusk just in time for the tree lighting.

Enchanted Woodland Wonders Day - Chattahoochee Nature Center
December 12: 12 pm - 4 pm

Create magical memories with family and get into the holiday spirit at CNC’s most popular Family Fun Day, Enchanted Woodland Wonders! This family favorite is bound to delight with live reindeer, seasonal festivities, and more.

Christmas Gift & Craft Show – Roswell United Methodist Church
December 2: 5-7 pm, December 3: 9:30 am – 5 pm, December 4: 9:30 am – 3 pm

Festive gifts. Artisan crafts. Delicious goodies. You’ll find all that and more at RUMC’s Fifth Annual Christmas Gift and Craft Show.

Handmade Holiday Art & Gift Show – AVE Gallery (Roswell Visual Arts Center in Roswell Area Park)
December 3: 5 – 8 pm, December 4: 10 am – 3 pm

Visit with 20 local artists and artisans offering fine art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, glass, functional mosaic art and wood crafts, hand-painted ornaments, handmade soaps and truffles, stationery and more. This is really going to be a fun way to go Holiday shopping!

Works in Clay Winter Show – Art Center West
December 3-5: 10 am – 5 pm, December 11 - 12: 10 am – 5 pm

Roswell’s Arts Center West is hosting its annual Winter Studio Show and Sale. This exciting event offers local, hand-made ceramic artwork for sale created by more than 45 members of Roswell’s Clay Collective. Ceramic works in functional, sculptural and whimsical forms will be available for every interest.

Back to Nature Holiday Market – Chattahoochee Nature Center
December 4: 10 am – 5 pm

Are you looking for a way to spend the day in nature, fulfill your gift giving needs, and support your local artisans? Come on out to the Holiday Market and visit with 40+ local vendors that are selling their unique, handmade and/or eco-friendly goods.

The Nutcracker with Fleetwood Dance Theater – Blessed Trinity Performing Arts Theater

Fleetwood Dance Theater brings a family holiday favorite back to the stage at Blessed Trinity Performing Arts Theater. Experience the magic of this iconic holiday ballet with your friends and family.

Roswell Youth Theatre Presents Willy Wonka Jr. - Roswell Cultural Arts Center
December 3: 7 pm, December 4: 2 pm and 7 pm

The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.

John Driskell Hopkins & Chloe Agnew with Atlanta Pops Ensemble – Roswell Cultural Arts Center
December 5: 7 pm

Join Roswell Cultural Arts Center and The Atlanta Pops Ensemble for a joyful evening of holiday cheer! John Driskell Hopkins, of the Zac Brown Band, leads us into the holiday season with all your holiday favorites. Get into the spirit with John and his special guest, Chloë Agnew!

Winter Puppet Series: All Hands Productions Presents Santa’s Missing Mail – Roswell Cultural Arts Center
December 17: 10 am, 1:30 pm, December 18: 10 am

Ominous Crook and his sidekick, Skellmutt, are two dastardly bad-guys who are out to stop Christmas by stealing Santa Claus's mail. Audiences will meet some panicked elves, a wise-cracking reindeer, a dim-witted superhero, and Santa, himself. The audience will also give David's friend, Fitzgerald, some help in writing a letter to St. Nick.

The Nutcracker with Metropolitan Ballet – Blessed Trinity Performing Arts Theater
December 17: 7:30 pm, December 18: 2 pm and 7 pm, December 19: 2 pm and 6 pm

Celebrate 20 years of holiday tradition with the Metropolitan Ballet's fabulous full-length Nutcracker production with all the music, all the color, and all the exquisite ballet brilliance of Tchaikovsky's original.

Winter Puppet Series: The North Pole Fa La La La Follies – Roswell Cultural Arts Center
December 21 at 10 am & 1:30 pm, December 22 at 10 am & 1:30 pm

Oh no! It's Christmas Eve, but the toys aren't finished, the elves are on strike, Santa has lost his laugh, and Rudolph has a runny nose! Will we have to cancel Christmas? Of course not! Join Lee Bryan as he brings hilarious holiday hijinks to the stage in this fun family production!

The Historic House Museums will be decorated for Christmas. Take a tour and enjoy the festive décor. Open Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm and Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm.
