Give the Gift of Roswell

Looking for unique gift ideas this holiday season? Why not give the gift of experiencing Roswell?

This holiday season as you're trying to come up with a gift that people will love and actually use, turn to Roswell's attractions. There's a wide range of activities and interests for anyone on your list. History buff, up-and-coming tech guru, those with a love of adventure and outdoors, among other interests, can be found in our city.

The Computer Museum of America, located on Commerce Parkway, creates an opportunity to walk back through time with technology and to see how it's impacted our world. Have fun with this and bring multiple generations in your group to see what the kids know and what the grandparents remember. It's a little nostalgic to walk through their timeline. Give the gift of passes or a membership so the receiver can come multiple times. There's plenty of events to enjoy throughout the year.

Right next to the museum is Area 51 - Aurora Cineplex and The Fringe Miniature Golf. Think about packaging it all together for a day of family fun. After the museum, head out for a round of mini-golf on one of their two beautifully-landscaped and challenging courses. There's even one that features the Roswell Mill.

Know someone who loves history? Well, Roswell's jam-packed with it. The Historic House Museums are open Tuesday through Sunday for guided (certain times) and self-guided tours. Discover more about the families that founded Roswell and the unique ties to a United States President.

Calling all theater buffs! There are still ways to enjoy Roswell's own local theater group, the Georgia Ensemble Theatre. They're doing virtual and audio plays. Currently, Blues for Johnny Raven, an old-timey detective story, A Wrinkle in Time and Aesop's Fables are available to watch and hear. Ticket vouchers are also available for the 2021-2022 year that the gift receiver can redeem for a future production.

The Chattahoochee Nature Center offers year-round family fun. Between plants blooming, events happening year-round and the cutest animals to see, passes for one day or a membership for the year is the perfect gift for someone who loves nature. Looking for something with a little more height? Add in some passes to the Screaming Eagle Zipline located at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

Think ahead to next summer. Do you know someone who would love to be out on the water? Book a trip on a paddleboard, tube, kayak, canoe or raft through the Nantahala Outdoor Center at Azalea Park. They also have bike rentals for your enjoyment of Roswell's bike-friendly paths.

Get creative and support your local businesses and attractions this holiday season.
