A Day in East Roswell

Are you an adventure seeker? A craft beer drinker? A nature lover?

East Roswell has just the right amount of exploration and relaxation. Just over the line of Hwy. 400, you can find dining, adventure, and peaceful nature.

Up for Adventure

East Roswell has easy access to the Chattahoochee River. You can kayak, canoe, float in an inner-tube, or simply walk along the shore. With multiple put-in and take-out spots, as well as trails that bump up along the shore, you can spend a day “way down yonder on the Chattahoochee”.

If water sports isn’t your thing, pop over to Big Creek Park. There are great hiking trails within the park, but that’s not all! Big Creek Park is home to great mountain biking trails managed by RAMBO. With trails for all skill levels, you can take it easy, or go for the big jumps! In need of renting a bike? Check out this list here.

Something Delicious

Are you unable to function without coffee in the morning? Cafe Au Lait has coffees and teas while offering a delicious spread of breakfast/brunch items. With a homie atmosphere, this neighborhood favorite will get your day started on the right foot!

The East Side is home to one of our award-winning breweries. From the Earth Brewing Company is Roswell’s only brewpub. Not only do they serve up some of the best craft beer around, but their dining options are also top-notch. From the Earth is also a great place to catch live music. Stop in for lunch, or dine in the evening for dinner and a show!

Fresh Air

In addition to Big Creek Park and the Chattahoochee River, the East Side is home to East Roswell Park and the newly opened Seven Branches Trail. East Roswell Park is home to trails, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a dog park for your four-legged companions. The Seven Branches Trail is recently opened as of 2019. This trail is not only pretty, but it also holds significant history to Roswell. For a map on how to walk this trail, click here.

As you can see, just over the line of Hwy 400 is an area full of possibilities. As you explore this side of town, tag us in your adventures! @VisitRoswellGA and #VisitRoswellGA.
