This area features a variety of venues, restaurants, public spaces and festivals that are loaded with great musical talent, artists, DJs and more. 1920 Tavern. Let's be honest. This place needs no introduction. Restauranteurs Jenna and Howard Aronowitz have created one of the most sought-after dining establishments along Canton Street - a locale that has its fair share of loyal customers while also welcoming visitors from near and far. Inspired by the sophistication and the playfulness of the “speakeasy” style, 1920 Tavern’s walls are lined with antique mirrors, crystal accents and globe lighting that provides a natural ambiance which makes it one of the best pubs in Roswell. Enjoy live music on Wednesdays/Thursdays from 7 pm and Sundays from 3 pm - 7 pm.
From the Earth Brewing Company's Back Porch Concert Series. Does this team ever stop? Tim Stevens, owner of From the Earth Brewing Co. (USA Today's Best Brew Pub in America, by the way), and Bask Steakhouse, puts on the wildly-successful Back Porch Concert Series in the location behind the brewpub each spring and summer. While the brewpub itself is known for its plethora of live entertainment, the Back Porch Concert Series provides for a larger footprint, bigger stage presence and majorly-enhanced audio-visual experience. Attendees can order local craft beer and wine, as well as dine on favorite bites from the From the Earth food truck.
Rock 'N' Taco. 100% built for live music, Rock 'N' Taco boasts a massive space for indoor and outdoor dining, two big bars, garage doors that roll up to create even more space, TVs galore and the largest screen in Roswell. With a stage outfitted in top-notch lighting and sound, Rock 'N' Taco is likely our #1 spot that both residents and visitors seek out to cut a rug. Local acts such as Reckless, Justin, Band X, Scotty Cram and DoubleTake are just a sampling of who rocks the place all night long (well, until 2:00AM on Fridays and Saturdays, we mean).
Standard at Roswell. Standard is one of Roswell's most well-known patios. Offering pizzas made from hand-tossed dough and handmade sauce, Standard has a laid-back atmosphere where friends from all over come to hang out. Also serving calzones, wings, and an ever-changing assortment of craft and imported beers, Standard welcomes live music on a consistent and often basis. Fun fact: It's a major Buffalo Bills place. Josh Allen fans rejoice.
Alive in Roswell. While this isn't the typical music venue of which you might be thinking, Alive in Roswell is known for the many musical acts that play to the crowds up and down Canton Street and beyond. This monthly festival, taking place every third Thursday of the month from April through October, features crowds that range in attendance from 5,000 to 7,000. It's no wonder then that many of our local businesses bring in their own DJs, acoustic guitarists, singers, and bands to give passersby some good entertainment, while welcoming them in to shop, dine or grab a cup of coffee or cocktail.
The Gaslight Bar & Grill. Located just beyond the south end of Canton Street is The Gaslight Bar & Grill, a popular spot for locals to grab a good bite to eat before dancing the night away. Known for its fine dining, specialty cocktails and live music, The Gaslight dubs itself as a "Hollywood Hideaway" in the heart of Roswell. Weekends are big, as the calendar is always chock-full of musical acts for the early diner or late-night goer.
Music on the Hill. Get ready to spread out your blanket on the lawn at City Hall, unpack your picnic, uncork a bottle, and unwind while listening to some of the best live music in the metro area. This FREE outdoor concert series at City Hall is the second Friday each month May - September. Produced by the City of Roswell, Music on the Hill is family-friendly and welcomes attendees of all ages from the local area and surrounding communities.
The Vick on Canton. This place packs one heck of a menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch and tapas. Situated at the northern end of Canton Street, The Vick has seen a rise in popularity as locals frequent this spot for great food, fantastic ambience and mouth-watering cocktails. Offering plenty of space on the interior, expect to also find your fair share of live music on their expansive patio, filled with ample seating and shade-providing umbrellas while you take in the sights and sounds of our beautiful downtown.
Gate City Brewing Co. It's not enough that this crew put Roswell on the map for the craft beer scene. No, they literally created an entire compound that includes their brewery, Taphouse, Backhouse (a sweet location for private events), the Artillery Room (where they specialize in gin, vodka and bourbon cocktails), and their stage. Featuring a variety of bands and DJs during their own events, public festivals and more, Gate City's even been known to bring in a national act or two. Baby, Baby, It's Tricky with all this Organized Bass.
Roswell Junction. This spot is quickly becoming a highlight of the local entertainment scene, blending great tunes with food, drinks, and a lively social atmosphere. Every weekend there’s Live Music Friday and Live Music Saturday on the built-in stage, where local and regional bands perform free shows that pair perfectly with casual dining and craft cocktails. Throughout the year, Roswell Junction also hosts a variety of special music events — from classic and rock-focused sets by groups like Blind Jive and The Platonics to themed performances such as yacht rock nights with Dock Rock Radio.
Sunset Sips at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. This series offers a uniquely serene way to enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting where nature and culture blend seamlessly. Held on select Thursday evenings through the summer months, this family-friendly series lets guests wander the Nature Center’s trails or river boardwalk, then settle on the great lawn or under a covered pavilion to enjoy local and regional musicians as the sun sets over the Chattahoochee River. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and a chair, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and sip on refreshments from the cash bar while listening to a variety of genres.
