23 May Memorial Day Weekend in Roswell, Georgia
Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of summer. Warm temperatures, long days, and lots of memories are waiting to be made! If you’re going to be in Roswell over Memorial Day Weekend, we have some ideas on what to add to your itinerary to have a great time.
Shoot the Hooch
The Chattahoochee River is the place to be on a warm summer day. Shoot the Hooch helps you get out on the water through tube, kayak, or canoe rental services so that you’re able to easily enjoy the sunny rays and cool water. The Chattahoochee River features a healthy mix of areas to explore, so no trip will be the same. Make sure you head down to Azalea Park to start your journey. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen!
Screaming Eagle Zipline
Catch a breeze while flying between the trees! Perfect for the thrill-seeker in your family, the course just recently opened its doors at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Tackle a combination of any or all three levels, depending on how high you want to adventure up. This one-and-a-half hour long adventure is fun for the whole family. Make a day out of the Chattahoochee Nature Center by tacking on some exploration time within the grounds’ remaining 127 acres.
Roswell Brew Tour
What’s better than enjoying a cold one on a hot summer day? If you agree, we recommend checking out our Roswell Brew Tour! Download the passport here, and get a stamp at each brewery when you visit. Once you complete the passport, bring it back to our office at 617 Atlanta St. and receive a free Roswell Brews pint glass.
Heat up your night with live music at one of our great music venues in downtown Roswell. Gaslight will feature shows on Friday and Saturday, and Gypsy Rose will be rocking Friday thru Sunday. We don’t think much else beats great food, cocktails, and killer tunes to make your weekend one to remember.
Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Ceremony
Memorial Day Weekend wouldn’t exist without those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Close out your weekend helping remember and honor the individuals who died serving the United States Armed Forces at the largest Memorial Day Ceremony in the state of Georgia. Located on the Roswell City Hall lawn, our ceremony features live music, guest speakers, and a 21-gun salute as our community and visitors come together in remembrance.
